Lynch Oil and Associated Companies to be Acquired by Parkland

Lynch Oil, a market leading wholesale and retail petroleum marketer with operations in Southern Idaho, announced today that it and its associated companies has entered into an acquisition agreement with Parkland Corporation (“Parkland”) through its U.S.-based subsidiaries (“Parkland USA”). Parkland is one of North America’s and the Caribbean’s fastest growing independent suppliers and marketers of fuel and petroleum products.

Headquartered in Burley, Lynch Oil was founded almost 100 years ago, in 1923, and is a fourth-generation family-owned business, still operated by the Lynch family. The business owns and operates eight retail sites, two Travel Centers and a rail storage facility in Southern Idaho.

The retail brands include Mr. Gas, Mr. Wash and Bent Bean coffee shop. The wholesale and distribution business includes propane, fuel, lubricants, DEF, and ice, under the brands of Lynch Energy, Lynch Natural Resources, Magic Ice and a 2 MMG rail storage terminal located in Jerome, ID.

“Our company legacy has been the way our family, starting with my grandfather who started our business, has treated our employees and customers for the past 100 years. Our culture is phenomenal, and we looked for a company that aligned with our values when we looked to sell,” said Jim Lynch, President of Lynch Oil. “We found it in Parkland. Their values of product, delivery and family atmosphere, coupled with their ambitious growth opportunities, confirmed our legacy will not only continue but thrive in the future.”

The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

Lynch Oil will operate under Parkland USA, a division of Parkland, and operate within the PNW ROC in Idaho.
