Base oil prices move up - 3rd time in 2022
Blenders report that they got word the posted price of base oils are once again moving up. This is the third round of base oil price adjustments in 2022.
The following is a summary of the price movements:
Chevron – Effective April 19, 2022, the posted prices for 100, 220 and 600 base oils will increase by 20cpg
Motiva – Effective April 15, the posted price of 220 and 600 base oil will increase by 15cpg and 25cpg, respectively. No change stated for 100.
Excel Paralubes – Effective April 20, the posted prices for 70, 100, 220, and 600 base oil will move up by 20cpg
ExxonMobil – Effective April 20, the posted price for Group I base oils will increase by 20cpg, EHC 45 will move up by 20cpg, EHC 65 by 30cpg, and EHC 120 by 40cpg
Calumet – Effective April 25, the posted price for all paraffinic base oils will increase by 20cpg
Paulsboro Refining Company – Effective April 25, will increase the price of Group I by 20cpg
Safety-Kleen – Safety-Kleen announced the posted price for both the 120 and 240 grades will increase by 20cpg on April 20, 2022.
