ExxonMobil Announces Base Oil Increase
Blenders got word today that ExxonMobil will increase the posted price of base oils as follows. The adjustment is effective May 20, 2022.
- Group I: AC 100, 150, 600, 2500, and SN 115, 150, 330, 400, and 800 up by 25cpg
- Group II: EHC 45, 65, and 120 up by 45cpg
Blenders were advised that the increase is a function of dwindling supply of VGO imports from Russia, price pressure driven by increased demand for diesel fuel and the alternative value of VGO as feed for diesel, and tightening supply in Europe.
