Palmdale Expands Florida Footprint with Fleetwing Acquisition
Palmdale Oil Company has acquired the assets of Fleetwing, a long-standing fuel and lubricant distributor serving commercial and industrial customers across Florida.
According to a company press release, the transaction strengthens Palmdale’s operational presence in Central Florida and enhances its bulk storage, logistics infrastructure and delivery capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fleetwing, founded in 1956 and based in Lakeland, has served customers throughout the I-4 corridor and surrounding markets with refined fuels and lubricants supported by bulk storage facilities and a dedicated transport fleet. The acquisition adds those assets and customer relationships to Palmdale’s statewide platform.
In the announcement, Palmdale Chief Executive Officer Lachlan Cheatham said the transaction aligns with the company’s strategy to expand capacity and reinforce supply resilience across Florida. Fleetwing President and CEO Maryann Troiano noted that the combination will provide customers with broader resources while maintaining a service-focused approach.
Palmdale said the integration will expand its ability to serve fleets, commercial enterprises and industrial accounts throughout the state, reflecting continued consolidation and infrastructure investment within Florida’s downstream fuel and lubricants distribution market.
Jones Walker LLP served as legal counsel to Palmdale. Raymond James acted as financial advisor, and Citizens provided debt financing, according to the release.
The acquisition marks another step in Palmdale’s growth strategy as regional distributors continue to scale operations to meet evolving logistics demands and supply chain pressures across the Southeast.
