RelaDyne Expands Drydene Brand Visibility with NASCAR Truck Series Sponsorship at Texas

RelaDyne is excited to announce that Cory Roper and Halmar Friesen Racing (HFR) will partner with Drydene, its commercial and industrial brand, for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race on Friday, May 1, at Texas Motor Speedway.

RelaDyne is taking its Drydene brand back to the track, announcing a partnership with Cory Roper and Halmar Friesen Racing (HFR) for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race scheduled for Friday, May 1, at Texas Motor Speedway.

The event is part of NASCAR’s tripleheader weekend at the Texas facility, often referred to as “The Great American Speedway.” Track activity begins earlier in the day with Truck Series practice and qualifying, leading into the evening race, which will be broadcast nationally.

For RelaDyne, the sponsorship represents more than a one-off marketing activation. It reflects a broader strategy to align the Drydene brand with performance-driven environments while reinforcing connections with customers and channel partners.

“Our partnership with Cory Roper and Halmar Friesen Racing is an exciting extension of our commitment to performance and customer engagement,” said Mike Cooper, Chief Commercial Officer of RelaDyne. “Drydene is built on a legacy of hard work and innovation, delivering products that perform day in and day out. This partnership allows us to showcase that performance on a national stage while connecting with our customers, partners, and fans.”

From the team’s perspective, the collaboration brings together familiar relationships and competitive expectations. Cory Roper, who has longstanding ties to the organization, will pilot the No. 62 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for the event.

“All of us at Halmar Friesen Racing are thrilled to partner with Drydene and Cory Roper for Texas,” said Stewart Friesen, co-owner of HFR and driver of the No. 52 truck. “Cory has been a longtime friend of our organization, and we’re excited to have him behind the wheel of our TRD Pro #62. With Drydene’s support, we believe this is a strong, competitive combination and a great opportunity for everyone involved.”

The Texas race also serves as the launch point for Drydene’s broader #MayMeansMotorsports campaign, a month-long initiative designed to highlight the brand’s longstanding ties to racing. Over the years, Drydene has maintained a consistent presence across multiple motorsports segments, including sprint car racing and grassroots events, while continuing to expand its visibility through new sponsorships and event entitlements.

Recent and ongoing efforts include partnerships in the World of Outlaws, sprint car sponsorships, participation in marquee events such as the Chili Bowl, and naming rights tied to race-related programming at Texas Motor Speedway during NASCAR weekend. Collectively, these activities position Drydene alongside teams and drivers that emphasize durability, performance, and consistency—attributes the company regularly highlights in its commercial and industrial product lines.

As RelaDyne continues to grow the Drydene brand across North America, initiatives like the Texas sponsorship underscore a familiar playbook: using motorsports as both a branding platform and a way to reinforce product credibility with end users who value performance under demanding conditions.

The May 1 race provides a visible stage for that message—linking the brand’s heritage in lubrication with the high-performance demands of competitive racing, while extending its reach to customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
