Valvoline Global Operations to Acquire Luval in Chile
Valvoline Global Operations has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Luval S.A., a Chilean manufacturer and distributor of lubricants, greases and maintenance products, in a deal that will expand Valvoline’s operating presence in Latin America.
The transaction brings together Valvoline Global’s international scale and fluid technology capabilities with Luval’s established manufacturing, operational and commercial presence in Chile. The companies have worked together for 37 years, with Luval representing the Valvoline brand in the Chilean market.
According to Valvoline, the acquisition is intended to strengthen its regional footprint and support the company’s broader global growth strategy.
“Luval acts as a strategic partner to its customers, providing them with trusted products and solutions,” said Jamal Muashsher, president and chief executive officer of Valvoline Global Operations.
Muashsher said the acquisition represents a natural progression of the companies’ long-standing relationship and is expected to combine complementary capabilities in a way that strengthens service to customers in Chile.
“By bringing together our complementary capabilities, we will be better positioned to serve customers in Chile, with a broad range of high-quality products and solutions,” he said.
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
