Advanced Lubrication Specialties Announces Appointment of David Fenderson as Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Advanced Lubrication Specialties announced the appointment of David Fenderson as its new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Fenderson brings to ALS over 40 years of leadership experience in the lubricant distribution industry and a proven track record of success in sales, marketing, and new business development.
Advanced Lubrication Specialties (“ALS”), one of the largest independent lubricant manufacturers in the United States, has served the petroleum industry for over three decades. Building on the momentum of a multimillion-dollar investment initiated in 2004, ALS has expanded its flagship facility to over 115,000 square feet, supported by 105 blending and storage tanks and more than 1.2 million gallons of total storage capacity. The company is now entering a third phase of expansion that will further increase its tank capacity to over 140 and raise total storage to 1.9 million gallons. In addition, ALS is adding 120,000 square feet of new warehousing space to support logistics and inventory needs. In January 2025, ALS announced its decision to purchase the assets of the Chemlube International LLC lubricants division, based in Savannah, GA, further fueling its expansion.
“We are excited to welcome David to ALS,” said Greg Julian, President of Advanced Lubrication Specialties. “His extensive industry knowledge, proven leadership, and long-standing reputation for excellence and integrity make him an invaluable addition to our organization as we continue to grow and innovate within the lubricants sector.”
Fenderson most recently served as Vice President of Commercial Sales for Brenntag North America, where he played a pivotal role in driving regional growth and operational excellence. David’s career began in 1985 at Maine Lubrication Service, his family’s business, where he served as Marketer Principle, then one of the largest Texaco lubricant distributors in the United States. In 2004, he was named Vice President of Sales at Windward Petroleum following its acquisition of Maine Lubrication Services. His leadership journey continued as G.H. Berlin acquired Windward, and subsequently, in 2015, by Brenntag. With each transition, Fenderson’s responsibilities expanded significantly, underscoring his adaptability, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to the organizations he served.
Fenderson brings to ALS a deep passion for creating a high-performance culture and a keen understanding of lubricant markets and the strategic tools required to grow in an increasingly competitive and dynamic industry. Having worked across every aspect of lubricant distribution—from field sales to executive leadership—he is uniquely positioned to contribute to ALS’s continued growth and success.
“I welcome the opportunity to work with the dedicated team at ALS and help drive sustainable growth,” said Fenderson. “I’ve spent my career in this industry and have always admired ALS’s reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. I’m excited to contribute to the company’s next chapter as we expand our presence in the market and deliver value to our customers and partners.” Fenderson added, “ALS and the Jullian family have cultivated a strong, family-oriented culture that recognizes the vital contributions of their employees and consistently strives for excellence.”
