The following is a summary of recently announced price increases for finished lubricants. The upward movement in lubricant prices did not come as a surprise considering that the posted price of base oils recently moved up twice. When taken together, these adjustments lifted the price of base oil up by close to $0.60 a gallon. In addition, there have recently been increases in the cost of plastic packaging (i.e., bottles, pails), and higher transportation costs.

Importantly, the finished lubricant price increases below were announced prior to the recent movement in additives prices.
