Strickland Brothers Acquires Iowa-Based LOF Xpress Oil Change in Strategic Expansion
Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change has acquired LOF Xpress™ Oil Change, a well-known Iowa-based quick-lube chain, in a deal that expands its Midwest presence and integrates a respected local brand. The acquisition, effective July 15, 2025, includes all three LOF Xpress™ locations—in Ames, Ankeny, and Waukee—along with the company’s corporate staff and leadership team.
Founded by industry veteran Ted Sage and most recently led by CEO Aaron Sage, LOF Xpress™ earned customer loyalty through its fast, no-pressure service model. While the locations will retain their existing branding through the end of the year, they are expected to transition fully under the Strickland Brothers umbrella in the near future.
“This is a partnership built on shared values,” said Justin Strickland, Founder and CEO of Strickland Brothers. “LOF Xpress™ has cultivated a dependable and customer-first reputation that mirrors our own. We’re thrilled to welcome their team and extend our reach in Iowa with professionals who are committed to quality and integrity.”
As part of the transition, Aaron Sage will join Strickland Brothers as Chief Financial Officer, bringing his experience and leadership to the company’s national growth efforts.
“Joining Strickland Brothers allows us to build on what made LOF Xpress™ unique while gaining the scale and resources to expand our impact,” Sage said. “I’m excited to help write the next chapter of this incredible growth story.”
Strickland Brothers, founded in 2016, continues its rapid rise in the quick-lube industry, now operating more than 250 locations across the United States. It remains the only national oil change chain still led by its original founder.
