DuPont Breaks Ground on State-of-the-Art MOLYKOTE® Specialty Lubricants Facility in China to Fuel Regional Expansion and Innovation

DuPont  celebrated the groundbreaking of its advanced MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants production site in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province, East China. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to scaling up global production, enhancing customer service, and fostering localized innovation within the MOLYKOTE® portfolio. Situated in the Yangtze River International Chemical Industrial Park within the Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone, the facility is slated to commence operations in early 2027.

This forward-looking investment is designed to meet surging demand for high-performance lubricants across key sectors in China, including automotive, manufacturing, renewable energy, and consumer electronics. By establishing this hub, MOLYKOTE® will create a foundation for accelerated innovation, enabling reduced delivery timelines, increased operational flexibility, and deeper partnerships with regional clients to co-develop cutting-edge lubrication technologies tailored to evolving market needs.

The ceremony brought together key DuPont leaders, including Eugenio Toccalino, Vice President and General Manager of DuPont™ MOLYKOTE®; Marc Turco, Global Integrated Operations Director for DuPont™ MOLYKOTE®; and Yi Zhang, Regional President of DuPont Asia Pacific. They were joined by valued customers, local government officials, and DuPont team members to mark the occasion.
