Additional Finished Lubricant Price Increases Announced

Further pricing actions continue to emerge across the finished lubricants market, reinforcing the broad-based cost pressures moving through the supply chain.

In addition to finished lubricant price increases, blenders report that a second round of surcharges from two leading additive suppliers is now working its way through the market. When combined, these surcharge actions are said to have increased additive costs by $300 per ton or more, depending on product type, supply agreements and other commercial factors. This added layer of cost is further complicating pricing decisions for lubricant manufacturers already contending with rising base oil and freight expenses.

Against this backdrop, Omni Specialty Packaging has announced a second price increase, following its earlier $ 0.50-per-gallon adjustment. The company will implement an additional 15% increase on all fluids, effective April 7, 2026. Omni cited continued cost escalation in base oils, additives, and freight as the primary drivers behind the move.

ExxonMobil will implement price increases of up to 12%, effective April 15, 2026. The magnitude of adjustments will vary by product and region.

The updated summary table below incorporates both the second Omni increase and the ExxonMobil increase into the broader list of finished lubricant pricing actions now in the market or scheduled to take effect. The table builds on previously reported pricing actions, incorporating additional announcements as they emerge.

Taken together, the growing number of pricing actions—combined with additive surcharge activity—underscores the sustained and multi-layered cost pressures currently shaping the finished lubricants market.
