Chevron Delo® Awarded Daimler Trucks North America Engine Factory Fill Business
Fleet Managers and Owner/Operators will get the benefits of Delo® engine oils from first fill of their Freightliner and Western Star trucks
Chevron Products Company, a Chevron U.S.A. Inc. division, maker of the Delo® brand of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants and coolants, today announced Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will begin factory filling with Chevron Delo 400 ZFA SAE 10W-30 (FA-4) starting January 1, 2019.
Chevron puts great value on OEM relationships, as they are critical for developing engine oil products which help OEMs lower total cost of ownership for fleet managers,” said James Booth, North America Commercial Sector Manager at Chevron. “We are especially excited about the effect this will have on our factory fill business. As of January 2019, Chevron Delo will supply two thirds of the North American heavy-duty factory fill engine oil market.”
DTNA led the industry with approval of API FA-4 oils for its heavy duty line of engines back to EPA 10, citing longer oil drain intervals and enhanced fuel economy benefits. Beginning January 1, Delo 400 ZFA SAE 10W-30 will be factory filled into all Detroit™ DD13®, DD15® and DD16® engines. Chevron Delo engine oils are available upon request via DTNA’s 700+ dealers and its Elite SupportSM dealership network.
