LSC Signs Letter of Intent with Amalie Oil Co. for the Sale of its US Business
Amalie Oil Co. (“Amalie”), the leading independent lubricant manufacturer in the United States, announced today that it has entered into a letter of intent to purchase Lubricating Specialties Company (“LSC”). LSC is the largest independent lubricant manufacturer in the Western United States, with three production facilities in the Los Angeles area. Amalie operates facilities in Tampa, Florida and Charleston, South Carolina. Together, the combined business will sell to and service lubricant product customers from what will be the strongest and most efficient platform in the industry.
Sydney Thwaites, CEO of LSC, told JobbersWorld, “Both companies have a rich history and strong culture of quality and service, we are excited about the synergies that combining the companies brings to enhance our ability to serve our customers at the highest level.”
