Drydene Performance Products Announces Partnership with Dover International Speedway and NASCAR Driver Corey LaJoie

Drydene Performance Products, headquartered in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, announced a multi-year partnership with Dover International Speedway, serving as entitlement sponsor for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) “Drydene 400” on October 6, as well as primary sponsorship for MENCS driver Corey LaJoie in the race during a press conference Thursday morning in front of the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza at Dover International Speedway.

In addition to those announcements, a sweepstakes was unveiled where one lucky fan will win a 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 if LaJoie wins any stages of the Drydene 400.

“Drydene Performance Products is thrilled to announce the inaugural Drydene 400 and bringing Corey LaJoie onto Team Drydene,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “A partnership with the iconic track at Dover is a natural fit: like Drydene, Dover International Speedway is part of American racing heritage.”

‘DRYDENE 400’

Klinger opened the press conference unveiling the “Drydene 400” brandmark with Dover International Speedway president and CEO Mike Tatoian. The event is the track’s second MENCS race of 2019 and Drydene’s first event entitlement sponsorship of a NASCAR event with Dover International Speedway.

This year’s “Drydene 400,” scheduled for Sunday, October 6 and set to air on NBCSN at 2:30 p.m. ET, is the first race of the Round of 12 in the MENCS postseason and the 100th NASCAR Cup Series race at the Monster Mile. Dover will be just the 10th track to host 100 or more NASCAR Cup Series events. The October 4-6 NASCAR tripleheader weekend caps the Monster Mile’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

“We are excited to partner with another historic and performance-driven brand, Drydene Performance Products, for the Drydene 400,” said Tatoian. “We are looking forward to having Drydene as part of our Monster Mile family as we continue our track’s 50th anniversary celebration.”

COREY LAJOIE JOINS TEAM DRYDENE

Drydene also announced a partnership with MENCS driver Corey LaJoie for the 2019 and 2020 Drydene 400. The Drydene No. 32 Ford Mustang of Go Fas Racing that LaJoie will race at the Drydene 400 was also unveiled during the press conference.

“For the Drydene 400, Corey is joining an outstanding group of drivers, both past and present, that have competed as part of the Team Drydene brand: from dirt to asphalt, local to nationwide, our drivers embody the hard work, dedication, and tenacity that is part of who we are,” stated Klinger.

“I’m excited to partner with Drydene for the Drydene 400 at Dover,” said Corey LaJoie. “Their support of racing as a whole makes this a great match, and we’re excited to take it to the next level.”

LaJoie is in his first full-time season in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, but his racing roots run deep. The third-generation racer followed his grandfather, Don LaJoie, a member of the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame, and his father, Randy LaJoie, the 1996 and 1997 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion, into the motorsports profession. LaJoie has an impressive racing career that includes numerous wins in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, the ARCA Series, and several top 10’s in NASCAR’s top series.

IF COREY WINS, SOMEONE WILL WIN TOO!

Drydene also announced a third component to the partnership offering fans the opportunity to enter an exciting sweepstakes. Fans will have the chance to win a 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. If LaJoie wins any stage of the Drydene 400, one registered fan will receive the keys and ownership of the car, courtesy of Hertrich Ford of Milford, Delaware. Fans can enter the sweepstakes at Drydene400.com from September 19 to noon on October 6. ENTER CONTEST HERE
