Recent Price Adjustments

The following are the most recently announced adjustments in the price of lubricants in the US market.

Amalie Oil Company Announces Price Decrease 

Amalie advised its customers that effective with all orders received on or after April 13th, 2020 the price of all lubricants manufactured and marketed by Amalie will decrease by $0.40 a gallon. They will lower the price of greases by $0.05 a pound. The price of automotive chemicals (including anti-freeze, brake fluid and automotive additives) are not included in the adjustment. 

Amalie said its cost of certain raw materials and manufacturing components have been reduced and it is passing the savings on to its customers by way of these adjustments.  

Warren Oil  Company Announces Temporary Value Allowance

Warren Oil advised its customers that in response to recent decreases in the price of Group II and III base oils, it will offer a Temporary Value Allowance (TVA) ranging from $0.10 up to $0.45 a gallon on all finished lubricants. The TVAs went into effect on April 9, 2020 and will remain in place for a minimum of 60 days, provided there are no other significant market changes or disruptions. 

American Refining Group Announces Decrease

American Refining Group (ARG) advised it customers that it will decrease the price of all blended lubricants by up to $0.40 a gallon (or $0.05 a pound). The adjustment is effective April 27, 2020. 

Total Adjusts Adjustments

Total Specialties USA advised its customers that due to extreme market volatility and uncertainty, it will rescind the price increase scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2020 and replace it with an increase that went into effect April 1, 2020. With this adjustment, Total’s Navastane Range increased by $0.40 a gallon, Quartz 9000, INEO & Racing up by $0.25 a gallon, grease increased by $0.06 a pound, and all other Total Specialties lubricants  moved up by $0.15 a gallon.

Sinclair Lubricants Announces Price Decrease

Due to decrease costs of raw materials, Sinclair Lubricants will be implementing a price decrease of $0.40/Gallon across the board on all finished lubricant products effective April 15th, 2020. 

Orders received after the standard order cutoff time (4 p.m. local customer time) on April 14th, 2020, will receive the new pricing.
