Sevier Valley Oil to be Acquired by Parkland

Commercial Acquisitions include Sevier Valley Oil, Sevier Valley Transportation, GJC Fuels and Sevier Valley Propane

Sevier Valley Oil and its family of associated commercial companies (Sevier Valley Propane, Sevier Valley Transportation, St George Fuels), fuel-based businesses with operations in Utah, announced today that they have entered into acquisition agreements with Parkland through its U.S. based subsidiary (“Parkland USA”). Parkland is one of North America and the Caribbean’s fastest growing independent suppliers and marketers of fuel and petroleum products.
Sevier Valley Oil have been in operation since 1949 and is headquartered in Richfield, UT. The companies deliver fuel, lubricants and propane products and services in Utah, Northern Arizona and Eastern Nevada. The commercial business includes two Sinclair cardlocks and three bulk plants, and they service more than twenty (20) retail dealers.
“We’ve worked hard over the years to safely deliver fuel and lubricant products and are proud to have grown a strong Utah business, especially over the past 20 years. Parkland appealed to us as it can continue to help us scale and better serve our commercial customers in a manner that aligns with our company values,” said Garrett Ekker, president of Sevier Valley Oil.
“Sevier Valley Oil and its family of companies are leading commercial fuel distributors in Utah. Their business and customer base compliments our organic growth opportunities in the markets we serve,” said John Jardine, Vice President and General Manager of the Rockies Regional Operating Center (ROC.) “We welcome Garrett Ekker, the leadership team and the rest of the employees into Parkland USA.”
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2020, and will be integrated into the Rockies ROC, based in Utah.
