In addition to Sinclair Lubricant announcing a price increase earlier this week, AOCUSA, Total Lubricants, and Highline Warren have announced lubricant price increases. The increases are said to be in response to the most recent round of base oil increases, a spike in resin and steel drum costs, and higher transportation costs.
- TOTAL Lubricants announced it will adjust pricing on its finished products, lubricating oils, greases and other specialty products by up to 9%, effective April 1, 2021. The increase is in response to another significant price increase on raw materials (base oils, additives, and packaging).
- AOCUSA announced it will increase the price of all oils, chemicals, greases and all other products for both its branded and private label products. The increase will range from 3 to 12% with an effective date of April 2, 2021. The company attributes the need for the increase to increases in the cost of additives, base oils, plastic resin, corrugated items; combined with substantial increases in the cost of transportation and insurance.
- Highline Warren announce a price increase of up to 10-15% on all lubricant products, depending on the product and package size. The new prices will go into effect with shipments on or after April 1, 2021. The company attributes the increase to yet another round of sizable base oil posting increases.
- Sinclair Lubricants. On Monday of this week, JobbersWorld reported that Sinclair Lubricants announced it will be implementing a price increase of 12%-16% on finished lubricant products effective April 1, 2021. In certain instances, the amount of the price change may fall outside of these parameters.
