Heritage Petroleum and Allied Oil & Supply Announce Merger

Heritage Petroleum and Allied Oil & Supply are announcing a merger of their two-family businesses broadening not only their geographic coverage, but their company-wide capabilities.  Aaron Gabe, Heritage Petroleum CEO, stated “I am thrilled to connect with the vast Customers, Sales Team and the Operational Excellence Allied provides with a broader Customer base offering of Fuel Products and Fuel Services Heritage offers today. In addition, the use of Allied’s highly regarded Industrial Services Operations will expand Heritage’s capabilities significantly across the current Heritage Customers.” The merged businesses will reflect the late Tom Gabe’s vision of the business being a heritage and legacy that all employees contribute beyond our time, carrying the Heritage Petroleum name. Allied Oil will be the brand of Private Label products offered to represent the vast list of quality products with millions of gallons sold over the past 63 years.

Steve Phillips, Allied’s President, shared his commitment by saying, “I have known the Gabe family for many years now and am confident of the business and cultural fit of the two organizations.” Conrad Heinson, Founder and CEO of Allied, expressed his support of the merger, “Heritage and Allied as one will continue the ongoing support of our employees and customers well beyond my time.” Tammy Heinson-Fowler and Kyle Fowler stated, “this merger is consistent with our guidance and belief that this is a quality business we know where we will continue to invest.” The two companies together will service the Central Midwest states from as far north as North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin south to Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kentucky with an eastern reach to Ohio and western to Colorado. Core product lines will be Fuel, Fuel Services, Lubricants, DEF and Industrial Services.

John Clark, current Heritage COO identified, “this merger reflects the consolidation in our industry under two extremely financially and relationally stable family businesses ensuring the structure, disciplines, processes and procedures achieve the greatest value for our employees, customers and vendors.” Primary brands offered are Allied, Shell, Phillips 66, Petro-Canada, Citgo, Valvoline, Fuchs and Lubriplate, along with the Simply Blue DEF and the Heritage Diesel Fuel.

The merged company will base its headquarters in Evansville, Indiana with Aaron Gabe leading the organization as CEO and John Clark and Steve Phillips acting as co-Presidents utilizing their expertise and capabilities across Sales, Administrative Management and Operational Excellence. The official date of the transaction will be January 1, 2022.

Heritage Petroleum is an 85 year old family owned petroleum distributor based in Evansville, Indiana serving customers in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri with Diesel Fuel, DEF and Lubricants by the Gabe family.

Allied Oil & Supply’s headquarters is in Omaha, Nebraska serving Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South & North Dakota and Minnesota delivering DEF, Industrial Services and Lubricant Brands of Shell, Phillips 66, Petro-Canada, Valvoline, Fuchs, Houghton and ChemTool.
