Breaux Petroleum Products Recognized by the Louisiana State Legislature for 100 Years of Business
Breaux Petroleum Products, a leading provider of quality fuel and lubricant products and services, was recognized on April 27, 2022 at the Louisiana State Capitol on the floor of the House of Representatives for its achievement of 100 years in business. The recognition was presented as a resolution from District 54 State Representative Joe Orgeron and it honored Breaux Petroleum’s long-standing history in Louisiana, which dates back to the early 1900s.
Founded in 1922 in Lockport, Louisiana, by A.P. Breaux, the company – known then as A.P. Breaux & Sons – began hauling crude oil from the Leeville Oil and Gas Field just as one of the state’s most influential industries was getting its start. A few years later, Breaux & Sons secured Louisiana’s first-ever distributor contract with Shell Oil Company and began distributing its brand of products throughout the Bayou Region.
