Kevin O’Leary, chairman of O’Leary Ventures and host on “Shark Tank” told Fox News today that he has reached a point in his life where he wants to do something big, and for him, that means building a new oil refinery in the US. With an estimated cost of $14 billion, O’Leary says he will syndicate that debt and equity.

“Mr. Wonderful” told Fox News that, “no matter how much you think we are getting off hydrocarbons, it’s not going to happen for 50 years, I’m sorry, that’s just the way it is.” Hydrocarbon fuel will be around for a long time and O’Leary wants to “reignite America’s energy independence.” and make the US energy independent.
