Finning completes the Sale of 4Refuel and ComTech
Finning International Inc. announced the successful completion of two previously announced divestitures: the sale of 100% of its mobile on-site refueling business, 4Refuel, to affiliates of H.I.G. Capital, and the sale of Compression Technology Corporation (ComTech) to a third-party buyer. The 4Refuel transaction includes operations conducted through 4Refuel Holdings Limited, Midnight Holding, Inc., and their respective affiliates.
“We are pleased to have completed the sale of 4Refuel and ComTech and wish the teams continued growth and success in the future,” said Kevin Parkes, President and CEO of Finning International. “These transactions represent another important step in executing our strategy to simplify our business and focus on our core dealership operations, unlocking invested capital, and increasing pro-forma return on invested capital.”
The sale of ComTech was finalized on May 15, 2025, while the 4Refuel transaction closed more recently. Finning’s second quarter financial results will reflect both businesses under discontinued operations—ComTech through May 15 and 4Refuel for the full quarter.
These divestitures are part of Finning’s ongoing efforts to streamline its operations and enhance capital efficiency, aligning with the company’s broader strategy of strengthening core capabilities and delivering long-term shareholder value.
