TotalEnergies and Stellantis Expand Lubricants Partnership Across All Major European Brands
TotalEnergies and Stellantis have announced an expansion of their long-standing lubricants partnership, extending the relationship across all major Stellantis automotive brands in Europe.
Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will provide and recommend high-performance engine oils for ten Stellantis brands, including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. The companies said the expanded partnership is intended to support vehicle performance, reliability, and compliance with evolving emissions and efficiency requirements.
The announcement builds on a relationship that has spanned several decades and reflects the growing importance of OEM-approved lubricants as automakers continue to introduce new engine technologies and increasingly demanding performance specifications.
As part of the expanded collaboration, TotalEnergies and Stellantis will continue developing and marketing co-branded lubricant offerings through Stellantis’ aftermarket channels. The companies also highlighted the role of lubricants in supporting vehicle longevity, fuel economy, and reduced environmental impact.
The agreement comes as OEM lubricant approvals continue to play an increasingly important role in product selection, particularly as vehicle manufacturers introduce proprietary specifications designed to support advanced engine designs, hybrid powertrains, and emissions-control technologies.
While the companies characterized the announcement as an expansion of an existing partnership, the move expands TotalEnergies’ role as a lubricant supplier and technical partner across the Stellantis brand portfolio in Europe.
