RelaDyne Acquires Rossee Oil Company, Expanding Georgia Distribution Network

Acquisition adds four locations and expands RelaDyne’s fuel, lubricant and DEF distribution presence across Georgia

RelaDyne has acquired Rossee Oil Company, a longtime Georgia petroleum distributor with operations serving fuel, lubricant, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), cardlock and ancillary-product customers throughout the state.

The acquisition adds Rossee Oil’s four distribution facilities in Eatonton, Moultrie, Wrightsville and Swainsboro, Georgia, expanding RelaDyne’s distribution footprint and regional density across the Southeast. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.

Headquartered in Eatonton, Rossee Oil was founded in 1945 and has grown from a local petroleum jobber into a full-service distributor serving commercial, industrial, transportation and agricultural customers across Georgia. The company is a fourth-generation family-owned business.

“Rossee Oil Company is excited to join the RelaDyne team,” said Bill Rainey, owner of Rossee Oil Company. Rainey said the company’s growth over more than 80 years has been built on its employees and customer relationships, and that joining RelaDyne will provide additional resources and expand the range of products and services available to customers.

For RelaDyne, the transaction further builds its presence in a Southeast market where distribution density remains an important part of the company’s growth strategy.

“Rossee’s established presence throughout Georgia strengthens our regional density and expands our ability to serve fuel and lubricant customers across the Southeast,” said Eric Royse, chief executive officer of RelaDyne. Royse added that Rossee’s experienced team, strong operations and longstanding commitment to dependable customer service make the company an “excellent addition to RelaDyne” and create opportunities for associates, customers and supplier partners.

RelaDyne Chief Strategy Officer David Schumacher described the transaction as a strategic investment in the company’s Southeast operations, noting that the four Rossee locations will expand RelaDyne’s Georgia network as well as its fuel and lubricant distribution, industrial reliability and emergency-response capabilities.

Schumacher also pointed to Rossee’s fourth-generation family ownership, employee base and local-market knowledge, saying the company has built an “enviable market position” in Georgia. He said RelaDyne intends to maintain the service Rossee customers have come to expect while expanding access to RelaDyne’s broader capabilities.
