FUCHS Raises 2026 Earnings Forecast as Nine-Month EBIT Climbs 25%
FUCHS SE has raised its full-year 2026 earnings forecast following stronger-than-expected results for the first nine months of the year. The Mannheim, Germany-based lubricant manufacturer reported preliminary earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of €409 million, up approximately 25% from €326 million during the same period in 2025. Revenue increased nearly 16% to €3.13 billion, compared with €2.70 billion a year earlier.
Third-quarter EBIT reached €149 million, compared with €117 million in the third quarter of 2025. The result also exceeded the €116 million analyst consensus estimate cited by FUCHS. Based on its performance through September, the company increased its full-year EBIT forecast to approximately €500 million, up from its previous guidance of €460 million to €480 million. FUCHS also specified its 2026 revenue outlook at approximately €4.1 billion.
Despite the stronger results, FUCHS cautioned against assuming that its third-quarter performance will continue at the same pace through year-end. The company expects year-over-year revenue growth in the fourth quarter, partly reflecting inflation, but noted that the final quarter is typically its weakest due to the holiday season. FUCHS also expects advance purchasing activity during the second quarter to weigh on fourth-quarter sales.
The company said ongoing uncertainty surrounding sales and margin trends in a volatile market environment continues to make forecasting difficult. Its revised earnings guidance reflects the strong performance achieved during the first nine months while accounting for those remaining risks.
The figures are preliminary. FUCHS is scheduled to publish its full report for the first nine months of 2026 on October 30.
