D-A Lubricant Partners with Shanghai Dalian Petrochemical Company in Asia to Grow Global Presence

Partnership establishes D-A Lubricant as a premium U.S. brand in Asia

D-A Lubricant Company™ announces a new partnership with Shanghai Dalian Petrochemical Company, a trusted supplier for a wide range of lubricants based in Asia. This partnership aligns with D-A’s strategic vision to grow its global presence and tap into new opportunities in international markets.

Shanghai Dalian Petrochemical Company, established 2001, is a dedicated lubricant toll blending manufacturer providing service to many major lubricant brands in Asia.

Joe Huang is the licensee of D-A Lubricant for all of Greater Asia. With more than 22 years in the lubricant industry, Huang graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech, with a specialization in tribology, the science and technology of interacting surfaces in relative motion. Huang is responsible for building the D-A Lubricant business throughout Greater Asia.

“This is a major undertaking,” Huang said. “D-A is partnering with all key local suppliers to establish an effective supply chain, invest in building awareness of the D-A brand with key customers, including OEMs, fleets and construction sites, and consumers including passenger vehicle owners, and establish a multi-channel network to get D-A products to all parts of Asia.”

“Expanding into the Asian market is a significant step for D-A Lubricant,” said D-A Lubricant Owner/CEO Michael Protogere. “We want to establish D-A in Asia as a premium U.S. brand that provides industry-leading engine oils, transmission lubricants, gear lubricants, hydraulic oils, antifreezes, specialty products and industrial grade lubricants. Our partnership with Dalian provides a local presence in Asia and demonstrates our commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of Asian customers.”

This strategic partnership expands D-A Lubricant’s distributor network and widens the reach of D-A products and services into Asia. D-A will customize its product offerings to cater to the specific requirements and preferences of the Asian market, strengthening relationships with Asia’s local businesses.

Operated in the U.S. for 100 years, D-A Lubricant is the first company ever to specialize exclusively in the manufacture and distribution of heavy-duty lubricants designed especially for heavy-duty equipment.

Family-owned and operated, D-A Lubricant is located in a state-of-the-art facility in Lebanon, Ind., a 250,000-square-foot building with space for offices, blending, processing, packaging, a technical lab, rail loading and offloading and 14 dock doors.
