Smitty’s Supply, Inc. will increase prices on all lubricating oils, fluids, greases, and automotive chemical products effective October 12, 2020. Prices will increase up to $0.40 a gallon and $0.05 a pound on greases. The magnitude of the increase varies depending on product segment and SKU. Smitty’s is implementing a price increase to combat the increased pricing in resin, base oil, freight, and labor because of the economic situation and weather events recently experienced.
CAM2 International is implementing a price increase of up to $0.40 a gallon on bulk and packaged lubricants as well as automotive chemical products. Grease will increase by $0.05 a pound. CAM2 attributes the need for the increase to the substantially higher cost of base oil, freight, resin, additives, and labor. New pricing will be effective for orders placed on or after October 12, 2020.
Chemlube International advised its customers that it has experienced significant increases in the costs of the raw materials used in the manufacture of its lubricants as well as transport and various pandemic-related expenses. This has reached the point where Chemlube has no choice but to raise its Savannah lubricant product prices. These increases – which will vary somewhat by product – will be in the range of 9 – 14%. The price change will be effective October 12, 2020.
Warren Oil notified its customers that the price for all lubricant and automotive chemical products for all Warren Oil Company brands and private label products will increase by up to $0.35 a gallon. All grease products will increase by up to $0.08 a pound. Warren Oil attributes its need for the increase to the higher costs of all materials required to manufacture and distribute lubricants.
